Relaxin' Saturday

SM Manila had the yearly 3 days mall wide sale on Friday until Sunday (March 2 to 3, 2007). Since the following day is a non-working Saturday for us, Sofi, Yvette and I decided to scourge the mall of any discounted sale. We dropped by Celine on a look out for shoes on a bargain sale. Sofi and Yvette bought shoes for them whilst there was no available size for me. We went on from one shoe store to another again but unfortunately there was no smaller size available. The two were able to bought blouse @ Shapes outlet. We had our dinner @ Mini Shabu-shabu @ around 9pm before we heeded home. We agreed to meet the next day Saturday for our massage schedule. I arrived home around 11:30PM already on a rainy Friday night. Sofi dropped me off in front of Mercury Drug outlet in Pureza. I took a cab going home for it was raining already.

I woke up around 11:00 AM the next day Saturday and immediately done my laundry and clean my room for I was thinking of our massage schedule. After I took a bath I decided to heed to our meeting place at Jollibee Bustillos. Going to a massage parlor is a great thing to do on a Saturday. We had a relaxing Thai massage at Thewi Thai Massage Center in Maria Clara Street Quezon City. I met Sofi @ Jollibee Bustillos around 5:00 PM on her way home after she had fetched Ella from school and then heeded to Thewi. We waited for Yvette’s arrival as she came from her house in Caloocan. We waited for 30 minutes at the parlor for when we arrived there are still a lot of customers waiting for their slot. As you enter the parlor you will took notice of the façade and the counter with Thai figurine and Thai silk curtain with aromatic smell all over. The one hour full body massage cost us 200.00/person and 75.00 for a 30 minutes foot massage. We were asked to changed our slippers with that of a therapeutic slipper after the parlor assistant had washed our feet with tap water and soap. We were escorted at the second floor at the massage room. Since Yvette opted to have foot massage, Sofi and I went upstairs and we were provided with a room for two where we changed into loose, comfortable clothes and lied on a firm mattress on the floor. Our attendant leans on our body using hands and forearms to apply firm rhythmic pressure to almost every part of our body. The massage as I can recall follows the Sen lines in my body. She generally fixate my body and limbs using her hands and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of my entire body, this also include pulling my fingers, toes, cracking my knuckles and arching my back in rolling action. She also made some therapeutic massage on my neck and shoulder. We were served with a hot tea after the session.

After the relaxing massage we decided to have our dinners @ Ling Nam. We had a sumptuous dinner of fish fillet with tofu and mushroom and yeung chow fried rice. We heeded home around 8:30 PM ready for the next week hectic schedule.
